One my family's favorites...this recipe gets a jump start from store bought four cheese ravioli that is them smothered in an irresistible and silky crawfish cream sauce. Can you say YUMM?
Ingredients
1lb crawfish or shrimp
1 tbls creole seasoning
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 pint grape tomatoes
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp kosher salt
2 c heavy cream
3/4 cup grated parmesan
1/8 c fresh chopped parsley
4 1/2 c cheese ravioli
Instructions
In a medium bowl, season crawfish tails with 1/2 tbls of creole seasoning and juice of 1/2 a lemon, set aside. Sauté garlic, tomatoes and salt in olive oil on medium heat until tomatoes burst. Add heavy cream and simmer for 3 minutes. Add reserve creole seasoning. Reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens. Add parmesan cheese and simmer for 2 minutes more. Add crawfish tails, stirring to combine. Simmer until the crawfish is heated through, about 5 minutes. While the sauce is finishing, cook ravioli according to package instructions. In a large serving bowl, combine sauce with pasta. Serve hot and enjoy!
