Anything Goes Seafood Bisque

This Seafood Bisque is simple, quick and best of versatile! Just add your favorite shellfish and a few ingredients to make a creamy bowl of heaven your family will love!



Seafood Bisque

Ingredients

  • 2 tbls olive oil or grape seed oil

  • 1/2 stick butter

  • 1/2 cup finely diced red onions

  • 3 tbls garlic Tony's Creole Seasoning

  • 3 heaping tbls flour

  • 1 can seafood stock or 1 ½ cups homemade shrimp stock

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 2 lb raw shellfish (if you have larger pieces, i.e lobster tails or large shrimp, rough chop them before adding in)

Directions

  1. Heat oil and butter on medium heat in large pot until butter is melted.

  2. Add onions and garlic. Saute until onions are soft. Season with Tonys.

  3. Add flour. Cook until flour is well incorportate, making a roux.

  4. Add stock and cream. Stir till there are no lumps. Let simmer about 5-10 mins. Taste and adjust seasoning.

  5. Add seafood. simmer additional 20-30 mins until all seafood is cooked through.

Note: If the soup is too thick you can add a little water (not more than 1/2 cup at a time) and then let simmer for another 10 mins.

6. Adjust seasoning again by adding Tony's if you need it. Serve with garlic bread and salad.
