Oh My Goodness! These Garlic Butter Bites are AAAAMAZING! Are you trying to get dinner on the table and you only have 15 minutes? This super easy recipe is as versatile as it is quick and easy. Don't have steak? No problem, this same method can be use for pork steaks or chicken. It can even be use for a vegetarian option - see below for tips on how. Plus the bonus - it only uses 6 ingredients! Try it out, it's a perfect weeknight meal packed with tons of buttery garlicky goodness!
Before You Get Started:
Check out my Compound Butter Recipe. I make a ton of this butter and store it in the fridge for a variety of dishes. Store in a fridge covered or rolled in parchment paper for as long as the date on the butter package allows (usaually1 month) or freeze for up to three months.
Your List of Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs of Sirloin Steak, cubed
1 tsp Kosher Salt
2 tsp Coarse Ground Black Pepper
1/2 tbls Herb Garlic Pepper
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3-4 tbls of Compound Herb Butter
Italian Parsley, optional garnish
Step 1: Prep it!
Using a sharp knife, cut your steak into bite sized cubes, about 1 inch in size.
Season the meat with salt, pepper and garlic pepper then drizzle with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
Massage the seasonings and oil into the meat.
Step 2: Make it!
Heat a cast iron or non-stick skillet over high heat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to the hot pan - using enough to coat the bottom.
Add meat to the hot pan in a single layer. Cook on each side for 1-2 mins then remove from the pan immediately.
Reduce heat to low and add butter. Once the butter has melted, add the meat back to pan and turn in butter sauce until coated, about 1 minute.
Remove steak from pan and top with freshly chopped parsley.
Oh My Goodness!! This six ingredient dish is quickly becoming one of my family faves. It is perfect for busy weeknights when you only have minutes to prepare dinner. Serve with cilantro lime rice, roasted potatoes or any of your favorite veggies sides. I also made a quick chimichurri sauce (get my favorite recipe here) for dipping but these bite sized morsels are awesome with or without the extra sauce. You have to try this steak version or with any your favorite proteins - the butter sauce is completely addictive!
